Fact: Church is a great way to grow close to god. some people say that you dont have to go to church to be a christian and they are right. But still, going to church will not only keep you in the right relationship you need with god, but also you can learn more aboput him from the preacher and worship freely with other christians. i feel sorry for the people who cant worship god freely or they cant have a church. not only are church leaders and people your church family but they are also there to encourage you in your relationship with jesus. that is why you need church. Growing Closer

There are many ways to grow even close to God in your relationship. Like.....reading your bible, going to church, praying, and worshiping the Lord. I have grown even closer to God just using these things in my daily lives. Try to find a special place with God, a place where you can talk to him privately. i hope you all grow closer to the Lord each and every day.

Already 10

Okay. So today is Nick's 10th birthday party. i cannot believe that he is 10 years old already! I love him very much and I hope he has fun today. and here is a secret: im gonna tell you what i got him for his bday. It is not that big but he will like it. I made him a homemade card and gave him one of my silly band pkgs.

Ok, this saturday we are going to Holiday world! WOOOOHOOOO! I love that place! My favorite rides are the water slides! Whats your favorite ride? Tell me on your comments!

Stay-cation

Hola! Mi numbra es hailey! (sp) (Hello, my name is Hailey). Anyway, I am on my way to indy to go to a place called Incredible Pizza and later we are going to the Indiana State Mueseum and an Indians Baseball game. And guess what this week is...... its a stay-cation week! And we are going to do so many fun things like, go on a family bike ride, spend the night at a hotel on Saturday in ( I dont know where), and stuff like that. These are great ways to spend time with family this summer! So comment on this blog and tell me what you are doing this summer that is going to be a blast! PS: since we are in the car right now, i dont have a bible with me, so i have to list a scripture on the top of my head.

1 Thessalonians 4:16,17

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together, with them, in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever.

Idolship

Who,that is reading this, loves to watch tv, hang out with friends/family, get on the computer, anything like that. But do you ever think you are taking up so much time with that and so little time for little God stuff like reading your bible, talking to him, and praising and adoring him! Spending time with God is way more important than any of that. And if you put things before God in your life it is called idolship. I realize a lot of people do that in life and also realize it is really wrong to do. I am going to list a scripture now that might help out with your daily lives. (BTW: it is one of the ten commandments.)

Ministry

Ministry is a great way to serve God and reach out to other people. If you are involved, you totally know what I mean. Not only is there a fantastic feeling inside telling you that you are being used in a special way by God, but you also know that you are leading people to Jesus. There are many ways to minister and here are a few that I am involved in....(and how they are important to me)

*Flags/Salvation and Praise Dance Ministry- this ministry is very important to me because I love to dance. I know God has given me this gift so I can use it to preach to people through music and dance moves.

*Children's Drama Group- this one is very special because the group can minister through human videos, Using themselves to explain God's word.

*JBQ(Junior Bible Quiz)- Our teachers and parents help us learn about the word of God through memorizing and competition.

I know that God has called everyone to go out and minister in their own special way. To go and reach out to people. Tell them about the word of the lord. And never forget, you are not just doing it for people, but to praise the Lord also.
